  I want to thank my special someone. Babes, you were there with me through the drafting of this book on an extremely tight deadline. You made my life better and helped when I despaired, brainstormed with me, kept me focused, cooked me dinner, always told me I could do it. Love having you in my corner.

  Special thanks to my family, especially my parents for introducing me to Disney stories early on and getting me the Disney Channel when I was a kid. You probably worried that I watched way too much, but without those early influences, I wouldn’t be half the writer I am today.

  Dear readers, special thanks to you. Apologies if this book gave you nightmares or kept you up way past your bedtime. (But those are the best kind of books, aren’t they?) I hope your parents will find a way to forgive me. But reading is everything. It’s a ticket to brave new worlds and special friends and fantastical places. It will open up your mind and your life.
